The design
The design of our tubs is based on a traditional Norwegian soaking tub called a ‘Stamp’. This design has been used for generations and has stood the test of time. Each tub is hand made to order and we are always keen to take on new challenges and create new designs for our customers. For hospitality and leisure industry customers we can build very large tubs that are ideal for team building exercises. Please contact us to discuss what we can do for you. The average time to design, build and install a tub is 5-6 weeks. Because of the way we make our tubs they can be installed almost anywhere, regardless of access by road. We build most of our tubs on site and it wont cost you any extra if you require this type of installation.

Tub layout
Our tubs all follow the same basic internal layout, the seating area is in the shape of a horse shoe with the boiler safety guard in front of the boiler. All of the benches are removable and can be taken out as required for cleaning.

The Wood
We use Western Red Cedar as our prefered building material however we can also build tubs in other timbers by request. We choose to use Red Cedar because in our opinion it is the best in the world for hot tub construction.

Western Red Cedar
Western Red Cedar (Thuja Plicata) is renowned for its natural beauty and outstanding physical properties that make it one of the world's most unique softwood species. This exceptionally beautiful wood has natural colouring in mellow ambers, reddish cinnamons and rich sienna browns. Its warm colouring is complimented by a uniform, fine-grained texture with a satin lustre. Slow growing and naturally durable, Western Red Cedar has one of the longest life spans of any softwood. It produces long lengths of timber with true, straight grain. It is free from pitch and its heartwood has natural decay resistance. Its low density gives it an insulation value superior to most other species. Light weight, easy to work, easy to finish, possessing outstanding dimensional stability, Western Red Cedar is a preferred wood for nearly all purposes where attractive appearance or resistance to weather is important.

The Boilers
Our boilers are submerged within the tub to get the most from the heat generated by the wood fire. The beauty of using this traditional design is that our tubs can be installed almost anywhere and do not require a power supply. Simply scrunch up some newspaper in the bottom of the boiler and add some kindling, once it gets going just add some logs and put the lid on. By using one of our wireless thermometers you can keep an eye on the temperature from the house while the water heats up. The seating area is separated from the boiler by a safety rail to prevent anyone from touching it accidentally. Our boilers are hand made from 2.5mm 304 grade stainless steel to ensure they are strong and durable. The boilers are made from our own plans in our workshop facility by a trained blacksmith. No mass production, each one is hand made to fit the tub.
